Football Recap: Trinity Christian Starts off Right with Win over Metrolina Christian Academy

Trinity Christian took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 win over the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Amir Jackson had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 122 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Trinity Christian proved: they limited Metrolina Christian Academy to a paltry 3.2 yards per carry. Trinity Christian's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Amari Robinson was especially locked on to Metrolina Christian Academy's QB and sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Warriors' side was Donzo, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
