Football Game Preview: Calloway County Lakers vs. Elizabethtown Panthers

The Calloway County Lakers will head out to square off against the Elizabethtown Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calloway County has given up an average of 31.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Calloway County and Marshall County, and Calloway County kept the tradition alive. The Lakers managed a 45-40 win over the Marshals on Friday.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Elizabethtown finally came back down to earth on Friday. They had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of Owensboro Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Aces are ranked 16th).

Elizabethtown's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Calloway County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
