Softball Recap: Walt Whitman Comes Up Short

Walt Whitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Connetquot T-Birds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the T-Birds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 on April 4th.

Walt Whitman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Connetquot, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Walt Whitman will face off against rival Bay Shore at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Connetquot is set to square off against their familiar foe Lindenhurst at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
