It was a good run, but Marmion unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the St. Laurence Vikings by a score of 1-0.

Marmion's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-2-1. As for St. Laurence, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-2.

Coming up, Marmion will take on Loyola Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Laurence, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Quincy Notre Dame on the 26th.
