A well-balanced attack led West Stanly over Central Academy of Technology & Arts in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Colts blew the Cougars out of the water with a 60-26 final score. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Stanly to victory, but perhaps none more so than Scarlet Griffin, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and eight steals. Griffin has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Foxx, who posted 12 points along with six assists and five steals.

West Stanly was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Justice Hegwood and Nia Udenze certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hegwood dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 boards, while Udenze earned no points and five rebounds. That was a full 69.2% of Central Academy of Technology & Arts' points, marking the seventh time in a row Hegwood has put up more than a third of the team's points. Jordyn Whitford also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

West Stanly now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, their record now sits at 0-8.

West Stanly and Parkwood will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Academy of Technology & Arts will take on Langtree Charter Academy in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
