Softball Recap: Windermere Has No Trouble Against Olympia

Windermere never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Olympia on Wednesday. They blew past the Olympia Titans 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Sophia Margelos tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

On the hitting side, Windermere got a massive performance out of Tessa Olofson, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those four runs gave Olofson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Boyer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.

Windermere kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympia only managed four hits.

The victory got Windermere back to even at 4-4. As for Olympia, their record is now 2-4.

Looking ahead, Windermere will face off against Lake Brantley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olympia, they will head out to face off against West Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olympia is facing West Orange at the right time seeing as West Orange is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
