Volleyball Recap: Windsor Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Windsor came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Middletown Blue Dragons 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-8, 25-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windsor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Cortright, who had six aces and three digs. Another player making a difference was Laila Ly, who had 11 digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Windsor was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Windsor's record now sits at 5-0. As for Middletown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will face off against Avon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middletown, they will be playing at home against Northwest Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
