Football Recap: Southeast Career Tech Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Southeast Career Tech has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were dealt a 39-6 defeat at the hands of the Bishop Gorman Gaels on Thursday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Roadrunners, who until this matchup were averaging 8.95 points allowed.

Even if they lost, Southeast Career Tech's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Camila H was especially locked on to Bishop Gorman's QB and sacked her three times. That's the most sacks H has posted since back in December of 2024.

Southeast Career Tech's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Bishop Gorman, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Palo Verde the next time they take the field. Bishop Gorman will head out to face Palo Verde at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, while Southeast Career Tech will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
