Basketball Recap: New Heights Christian Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

New Heights Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the Columbus Titans with a 46-40 win on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Columbus' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Katy Mooney, who posted 15 points, and Brylie Johnson, who had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Trinty Green, who put up five points.

Columbus now has a losing record at 1-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars challenge the Baxter Springs Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbus, they will welcome Cherryvale on Tuesday.
