Football Preview: Glades Central Raiders vs. Palm Beach Lakes Rams

After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Glades Central is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-fieldthey go up against the Palm Beach Lakes Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Glades Central beat Martin County 20-14. The Raiders pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Ar?Maud Stinfort had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105.5 rushing yards per game.

Glades Central wouldn't let Martin County keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Glades Central can thank Jared Carter and Schnaider Pierre for forcing all of them. Carter's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles and making five total tackles.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Lakes had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 41-13 victory over Coral Springs on the road.

Palm Beach Lakes had a senior duo take command as Christopher Holmes rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries and Anthony Palmer gained 132 total yards and two touchdowns. Holmes got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Quentin Williams, who threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
