Softball Recap: Monument Valley Mustangs vs. Shiprock Chieftains
Monument Valley won the last time they faced Shiprock and things went their way on Monday too. The Monument Valley Mustangs were the clear victor by a 19-4 margin over the Shiprock Chieftains.
Adrianna Dominguez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Monument Valley got a massive performance out of Angel Haskan, who scored three runs while going 5-for-5. Hailey Etsitty was another key player, scoring three runs while going 4-for-6.

Monument Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
