Volleyball Recap: Porter-Gaud Takes a Loss

Porter-Gaud lost against Lucy Beckham back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cyclones took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Allie Abernathy paced Porter-Gaud's offense, picking up six kills. Abernathy got some help from Harriett Matenaer and her eight assists.

Porter-Gaud's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Lucy Beckham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Porter-Gaud didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Academic Magnet on the 27th. As for Lucy Beckham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against West Ashley on the 26th.
