Wethersfield and Annawan are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Flying Geese will venture away from home to square off against the Braves/Bravettes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wethersfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Thursday, Wethersfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Rockridge, taking the game 2-0.

While Wethersfield might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rockridge scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Annawan and Monmouth United, and Annawan kept the tradition alive. The Braves/Bravettes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Red Storm on Wednesday.

Annawan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Annawan's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Wethersfield, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.

Wethersfield beat Annawan 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flying Geese since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
