Baseball Recap: Somerset Academy Victorious

Somerset Academy won the last time they faced Gulliver Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Somerset Academy Panthers came out on top against the Gulliver Prep Raiders by a score of 8-5.

Liam DeCicco tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Somerset Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jon Mora, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Somerset Academy: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Somerset Academy is facing Goleman at the right time seeing as Goleman is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Gulliver Prep, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-8 defeat against Tocoi Creek on the 17th.
