Baseball Recap: Central Magnet Victorious

Central Magnet proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Greenback Cherokees 4-3.

Elijah Bonner was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Central Magnet was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Central Magnet's record now sits at 5-7. As for Greenback, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Coming up, Central Magnet will be taking part in a tournament against Apostolic Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Greenback, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fulton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
