Soccer Recap: Captain Shreve Gets the Win

On Saturday, the Captain Shreve Gators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Dutchtown Griffins. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Griffins are ranked 52nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Captain Shreve is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-4 record this season. As for Dutchtown, they dropped their record down to 1-6-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
