Baseball Recap: New Milford Comes Up Short

New Milford lost against Fort Lee back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Knights took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bridgemen.

Luis Placido made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Block, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

New Milford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Fort Lee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Coming up, New Milford will look to defend their home field on Monday against Cresskill at 4:00 p.m. As for Fort Lee, they will head out to challenge Hackensack at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
