Recap: Enka Jets vs. Erwin Warriors
Even though the Erwin Warriors scored an imposing 60 points on Wednesday, the Enka Jets still came out on top. Enka skirted past Erwin 63-60. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Enka also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Enka's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Waddell, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawson Mcclure, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Erwin still got an impressive performance from Carson Wallace, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Wallace's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Jackson Davis was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and three steals.
Enka's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Erwin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enka will take on A.C. Reynolds at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 61.5 so far this season, A.C. Reynolds' high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Enka better be ready for a challenge. As for Erwin, they will be playing at home against Asheville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Asheville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
