Baseball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Northside - Pinetown was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jones Trojans. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 14-0.

Northside - Pinetown's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Jones, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Coming up, Northside - Pinetown will take on Pungo Christian Academy in a tournament on Friday. As for Jones, they are taking a road trip to face off against Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seahawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.43 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
