Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cummings). They enjoyed a cozy 77-62 victory over the Graham Red Devils on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cavaliers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Leading Cummings to victory were Isaiah Long and Ja'Kway Robertson. Long went 10 of 24 on his way to 27 points in addition to five assists and five boards, while Robertson went 7 for 14 en route to 20 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Those 27 points gave Long a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Dawson, who posted six points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Cummings was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Graham only posted six assists.

Graham's loss came despite strong showings from Micah Woods and Ladario Johnson. Woods went 10 for 25 en route to 30 points and five steals, while Johnson dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds. That was a full 48.4% of Graham's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Cummings' victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Graham, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Cummings has already played their next matchup, a 60-32 loss against Northeast Guilford on the 30th. As for Graham, they will head out to face off against Chatham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
