Baseball Recap: Pebble Hills Spartans vs. Las Cruces Bulldawgs
Pebble Hills won against Del Valle last Monday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Pebble Hills Spartans had just enough and edged out the Las Cruces Bulldawgs 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.
Jacob Torres looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Cristian Bustillos was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Pebble Hills' win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Looking ahead, Pebble Hills will be taking part in a tournament against Westlake at 10:00 a.m. on March 1st. As for Las Cruces, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Chapin on the 20th.
