Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Crest Ridge

Crest Ridge entered their tilt with St. Paul Lutheran on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 42-30 victory over the St. Paul Lutheran Saints. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 51-46 victory last Thursday.

Leading Crest Ridge to victory were Brilynn Fleming and Laney Wilhite. Fleming almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Wilhite dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Fleming a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Fleming, who posted four points and seven assists.

Crest Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.

Crest Ridge pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
