Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Skates Past Lighthouse Christian with Ease

Everything came up roses for the Hillcrest Hornets against the Lighthouse Christian Chargers on Wednesday as the squad secured a 73-24 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Hillcrest was led to victory by Serenity Johnson and Caitlin Summers. Johnson shot 47% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals, while Summers went 5-for-8 on her way to 13 points. The dominant performance also gave Summers a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Camryn Summers, who posted six points.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-47 defeat against Walnut Grove on the 5th. As for Lighthouse Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 51-47 win against Osceola on the 6th.
