Basketball Recap: Altoona-Midway Takes a Loss

Altoona-Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Hartford Jaguars and fell 54-5. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-28 last Friday.

Altoona-Midway's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hartford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Altoona-Midway will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Yates Center on January 3, 2025. As for Hartford, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marais des Cygnes Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hartford's defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so Marais des Cygnes Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
