Park Vista falls despite strong effort from Tray Goldwire

Recap: Park Vista Cobras vs. Palm Beach Lakes Rams

The Park Vista Cobras were the 67-54 winner over the Palm Beach Lakes Rams when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Park Vista fell 59-51 to Palm Beach Lakes on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Park Vista can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Palm Beach Lakes is ranked 45th).

When it comes to explaining why Park Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tray Goldwire. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Goldwire continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Gilbert, who scored six points along with five rebounds.

Park Vista has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Palm Beach Lakes, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Park Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympic Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they will head out on the road to take on Suncoast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
