Baker lost to Ponce De Leon back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Gators had just enough and edged out the Pirates 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Lacey McCranie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, Baker got a massive performance out of Zoe Moncada, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Nevaeh Nava was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Baker's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Ponce De Leon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Baker wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 win against Laurel Hill on the 3rd. As for Ponce De Leon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Graceville on the 6th.
