Football Recap: Overfelt Triumphs

Overfelt was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They secured a 12-6 W over the Saratoga Falcons. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but the Royals were the (much) better team in the second half.

Eric Plascencia threw for 39 yards on four of eight attempts. Darryn Garcia was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Junior Medina rushed for 122 yards.

The victory got Overfelt back to even at 1-1. As for Saratoga, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Overfelt will face off against Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saratoga, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Monta Vista at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
