Washington County is a perfect 4-0 against Hart County since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Washington County will head out on the road to square off against Hart County at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Monday, Washington County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over East Jessamine. That's two games straight that the Commanders have won by just one run.

Camden Abell was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Washington County is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-2 otherwise. Abell was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-6 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

Abell wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Mackin, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Mackin's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Hart County won against Thomas Nelson on Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Hart County came out on top in a nail-biter against Edmonson County, sneaking past 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Ethan Booher looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Austin Martin, who scored two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Zach Sloan was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
