The St. Brendan Sabres are taking a road trip to face off against the Coral Springs Charter Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
St. Brendan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Pompano Beach get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory.

Jules Miranda was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Coral Latshaw, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rachel Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
St. Brendan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pompano Beach only posted an OBP of .259.
Meanwhile, Coral Springs Charter's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mater Lakes Academy as they made off with a 15-0 win.
Sophia Bertorelli looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Gio Gurgel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Addi Michel was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Coral Springs Charter's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for St. Brendan, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Brendan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Coral Springs Charter struggles in that department as they've averaged .465. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Brendan came up short against Coral Springs Charter in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, falling 3-0. Can the Sabres avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
