Football Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Edison

Edison won the last time they faced Northwestern and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Edison Red Raiders managed a 12-6 win over the Northwestern Bulls. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but the Red Raiders were the (much) better team in the second half.

When it comes to explaining why Northwestern lost, don't look at Jade Yacinthe. Despite the final result, she picked up 142 receiving yards. Yacinthe really caught the secondary sleeping when she pulled down a catch that went for 78 yards.

Edison's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Northwestern, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

When Edison and Northwestern next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Edison will take on American and their four-game winning streak at 3:30 p.m. on April 7th. Edison's defense has only allowed 4.4 points per game this season, so Northwestern's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Northwestern will try to stop Homestead's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:30 p.m. on April 2nd. Edison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33 points per game this season.
