Volleyball Recap: Cisne Takes a Loss

Cisne lost against Altamont back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Runnin' Lions fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. The Runnin' Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cisne sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-20.

Leading Altamont to victory were Avery Fleeharty and Riley Rippetoe. Fleeharty had 12 assists and five digs, while Rippetoe had nine digs and three blocks. Rippetoe has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Cisne's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Altamont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cisne will take on Flora in a tournament on Saturday. As for Altamont, they will square off against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
