Football Recap: West Tallahatchie Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 44 points the game before, West Tallahatchie was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 40-12 loss at the hands of the Charleston Tigers. The loss was the Choctaws' first of the season.

Although West Tallahatchie took the loss, they still got scores from Jamerrius Johnson and Kelvin Robinson.

Charleston had a senior duo take command as Devon Olive threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes and Marcus Flowers Jr gained 163 total yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Tallahatchie fell to 3-1. As for Charleston, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Tallahatchie will head out to take on Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Choctaws will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Charleston, they will take on DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
