Volleyball Recap: Conner Wins High-Profile Contest Against Henry Clay

Conner faced Henry Clay in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Charlotte Patton paced Conner's offense, picking up 12 kills. Patton got some help from Alexis Kampsen and her 12 assists. Makena Marks controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Conner and bumps their season record up to 18-7. As for Henry Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.

Conner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against South Warren on the 27th. As for Henry Clay, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodford County at 7:30 p.m. on the 8th.
