Volleyball Recap: St. Teresa Takes a Loss

St. Teresa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sophia Koester paced St. Teresa's offense, picking up five kills. Koester were helped by Lucy Pokrzywinski and Elia Smith, who contributed six assists each. Riley Boyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Maroa-Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

St. Teresa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Cornerstone Christian on the 13th. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Heyworth on the 13th.
