Basketball Recap: Evan Pate Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Princeton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Beddingfield Bruins, sneaking past 60-57. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 71-67 victory the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Princeton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evan Pate led the charge by going 8-for-15 on his way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. Pate has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last six times he's played. Cameron Harrison was another key player, shooting 60% from the field en route to 15 points.

Despite the loss, Beddingfield still got an impressive performance from Darrian Jones, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was JamaJay Ward, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds.

Princeton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Beddingfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Princeton will head out on the road to square off against Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beddingfield, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Southern Nash at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
