Basketball Recap: Pasco's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If Weeki Wachee wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pasco, they should've done a better job of containing TJ Gebru. The Pasco Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 75-72 win over the Weeki Wachee Hornets on Thursday thanks in part to Gebru, who went 9 for 13 en route to 26 points along with seven boards and five assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Jeremiah Miller was another key player, going 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points and eight assists. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Weeki Wachee lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jayden Parent, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Beams, who earned 19 points.

Pasco's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9. As for Weeki Wachee, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

Pasco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-50 win against Hudson on the 28th. Weeki Wachee has also already played their next contest, a 72-71 victory against Citrus on the 24th.
