Recap: Cascade Cadets vs. Brown County Eagles

The Cascade Cadets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down Brown County 59-44. That's another feather in the cap for Cascade, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Cascade's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liviair Campbell, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Campbell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Smith, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.

Cascade's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Brown County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Cascade will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethesda Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethesda Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Brown County, Brown County and North Putnam will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully North Putnam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
