Football Recap: Serrano Comes Up Short

Serrano came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 35-14 to the Apple Valley Sun Devils. The Diamondbacks haven't had much luck with the Sun Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Although Serrano took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan Contreras and Gavin Lamb.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Apple Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Hardeman, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Serrano's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Apple Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Serrano has already played their next game (against Burroughs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Apple Valley, they will host Sultana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sun Devils will be up against the Sultans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
