For the first time this season, Walker will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Wednesday. They will look to defend their home field against the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots at 5:55 p.m. Walker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Walker fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against South Paulding on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-6 to the Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jonathan Griggs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Brendan Finger was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Mount Pisgah Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Fellowship Christian on Tuesday and fell 5-4.

Walker's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything went Walker's way against Mount Pisgah Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as Walker made off with a 9-2 victory. Will Walker repeat their success, or does Mount Pisgah Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
