Volleyball Recap: Philip Takes a Loss

Philip was the 3-2 winner over Lyman when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scotties fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Scotties didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 25-18 in the first set.

Philip wouldn't go down easily and took Lyman into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 25-10, 20-25, 15-9.

Kale Peterson paced Philip's offense, picking up ten kills. Peterson got some help from Memphis Konst and her 14 assists. Charlee Ramsey controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Philip's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Lyman, their record is now 16-10.

Coming up, Philip will challenge Miller at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lyman, they are taking a road trip to square off against Highmore/Harrold at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
