Soccer Game Preview: Tolleson vs. Apollo

The Tolleson Wolverines will take on the Apollo Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tolleson will be strutting in after a victory while Apollo will be coming in after a loss.

If Apollo heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Tolleson took over last week. Tolleson came out on top against Cibola by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Ty Njatha was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Apollo was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to Sunnyslope.

Tolleson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season. As for Apollo, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-3.

Tolleson was able to grind out a solid win over Apollo in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 2-0. Does Tolleson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Apollo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
