Baseball Recap: Eagle River Wolves vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears
Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears, falling 26-0. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crimson Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Juneau-Douglas, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Eagle River will head out to square off against West Anchorage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Juneau-Douglas, they will venture away from home to take on South Anchorage at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Crimson Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
