Basketball Recap: Discovery Comes Up Short

Discovery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars, falling 51-27. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-25 two weeks ago.

Lake Balboa College Prep was led to victory by ARMEN BOURSALIAN and SAHIL SAINI. BOURSALIAN posted 21 points, while SAINI scored 22 points. The game was BOURSALIAN's fifth in a row with at least 21 points.

Discovery's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Discovery will challenge Valor Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they will venture away from home to challenge Magnolia Science Academy Reseda at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
