Football Recap: Braylon Walker Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Oakhaven

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Haywood, Fayette Ware was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Oakhaven Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 31-16. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fayette Ware's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braylon Walker, who rushed for 82 yards and one score on only seven carries. The Wildcats also got help from Mkhylan Harris, who showed off his sure hands for 108 receiving yards.

Fayette Ware didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tarhye Taylor and Derrion Harris-Larkin. Taylor is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Fayette Ware picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Oakhaven, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Fayette Ware will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Roadrunners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oakhaven, they will head out to challenge Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' defense has only allowed 12.9 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
