Volleyball Recap: Harlingen Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harlingen South on Tuesday, Harlingen came back down to earth. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McAllen Memorial Mustangs on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

McAllen Memorial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Juliet Trevino, who had nine digs and two assists.

Harlingen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for McAllen Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Harlingen has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against McAllen on the 15th. As for McAllen Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Gregory-Portland on the 14th.
