It was a good run, but Covenant Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Allendale Falcons by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Chargers have suffered since March 27th.

Easton Schimmel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Allendale, they moved to 4-17 with that victory, which also ended their 12-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Covenant Christian will face off against Western Michigan Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Allendale, they will venture away from home to take on Cedar Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
