Basketball Recap: John Battle Comes Up Short

John Battle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 77-37 loss at the hands of the George Wythe Maroons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-51 last Wednesday.

John Battle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for George Wythe, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Battle will take on Ridgeview in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on December 17th at. As for George Wythe, they will take on Galax at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
