Phoenixville is a perfect 10-0 against Upper Merion Area since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Phantoms will venture away from home to take on the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Upper Merion Area took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Phoenixville, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Phoenixville got the win against Pottsgrove by a conclusive 11-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Phantoms.

Meanwhile, while it was Upper Merion Area who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was Spring-Ford who put up more. The Vikings fell just short of the Rams by a score of 6-5. The Vikings have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Upper Merion Area got a good showing from Tristan Fanning, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Fanning has become a key player for the Vikings: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, David Peck made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Upper Merion Area's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Phoenixville, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Everything went Phoenixville's way against Upper Merion Area in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Phoenixville made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phantoms since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
