Baseball Recap: Silver Bluff's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Silver Bluff's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Keenan Raiders. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Jeremiah Johnson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Deshawn Wells was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Silver Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Keenan, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Silver Bluff will host Swansea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Keenan, they will challenge Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
