Baseball Recap: Red Bud's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Red Bud had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Marissa Meteors.

Colby Voss looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Red Bud saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Hohgrefe, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Red Bud pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Marissa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Red Bud will head out to take on Chester at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marissa, they will welcome Metro-East Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
